David Middleton - Consultant
David Middleton serves as a managing director of CEO Focus, a national executive peer group management and business coaching firm. He formerly served as Executive Vice President of the ALLIANCE Business Centers Network and continues to consult with the Network on special projects. As Chief Marketing Officer of French/West/Vaughan, the largest independent public relations and marketing agency in the southeastern United States, his responsibilities included new business development, strategic direction and brand positioning, as well as, agency public relations and oversight of select real estate accounts. During his tenure, FWV was awarded numerous local and national accounts and was recognized as the National Consumer Agency of the Year. Prior to his tenure at FWV, David served as President of Mid-Eye Marketing LLC, a strategic marketing and public relations firm headquartered in Raleigh, NC which merged with FWV in mid-2003.
In addition, from 1991-2001 David served as President/CEO of EPCOR Business Centers, Inc., a leading developer and operator of office business centers in North Carolina and central Virginia, which he successfully sold to a larger national business services company in late 2001. Before that David served in various executive and management capacities for several national and regional commercial real estate groups, including Trillium Properties and TradeMark Properties, who were each recognized as significantly growing organizations within the North Carolina and Virginia marketplaces.
David holds a B.A. degree from Wake Forest University and has performed graduate work in Public Affairs at N.C. State University. He has served on numerous boards and commissions including the board of directors of the Triangle chapter of the American Marketing Association, past president of the Office Business Center Association International (OBCAI) and the past Chairman of Special Olympics - North Carolina (SONC) as well as a past member of the Strategic Planning Committee and a member of the Board of the 1999 Special Olympics World Games. David also is an internationally-acclaimed speaker in the areas of marketing, customer service, branding and entrepreneurship.
